Trevor Maxwell is the founder of Man Up to Cancer, a nonprofit organization that inspires men to connect and avoid isolation during their cancer journeys.
What began as a concept he brainstormed while sitting in his car in late 2019 has grown into a movement of more than 3,000 members across 40+ chapters in North America and beyond.
Since being diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer in 2018, Trevor has undergone seven major surgeries, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and a clinical trial. He is the author of Open Heart, Warrior Spirit: A Man’s Guide to Living with Cancer and has received the Annette Cook Cancer Warrior Award and the Amanda Dempsey Award.
Trevor has delivered more than 20 keynote talks and presentations at local, regional, and national levels, sharing messages about resilience, mental health, and redefining strength.
He lives in Maine with his wife Sarah, their two daughters, and their Labrador Retriever, Grace.
