About Me

Trevor Maxwell is a freelance writer, speaker, communications/PR consultant, and former newspaper journalist from Cape Elizabeth, Maine. He is also a husband, father of two daughters, stage IV colon cancer survivor, and patient advocate/spokesperson.

Trevor left the newspaper business in 2011 to launch Maxwell Media and PR. The company has worked successfully with healthcare industry clients, law firms, non-profit organizations, schools, and others. 

Trevor is passionate about working and volunteering for organizations committed to the support of cancer patients and their families, including COLONTOWN, the Dempsey Center, and the American Cancer Society.

    Stage IV colorectal diagnosis in February ‘19 – have final chemo first week of February ‘20. Been an awful year of chemo radiation and surgeries. Trying to adjust back to “real life” now and looking for support. From your posts looks like we could have a bit in common. Got your name from the nurses at NECC.
